For some projects, wood with Euro Fire Class B-S1 D0 will be required. As the wood does not naturally comply with this class, we developed FireProtect. This allows us to treat the platonised wood in such a manner that it does comply with the requirements of this fire class.
Platowood offers two possibilities:
• Impregnation based on fire-retardant salts. The wood must be sealed after treatment with salts. It should be given a stain with a colour.
• Or impregnation based on polymers. With a fire-retardant treatment based on polymers, further finishing is not required.
