In the heart of the forests of Vierhouten stands Het Boshuis, a new group accommodation operated by Paasheuvelgroep. The building was designed with sustainability in mind and, thanks to its low-rise design, timber façades and green roof, blends naturally into its wooded surroundings.
Het Boshuis provides space for large groups and is designed for school camps, associations and other group stays. Large windows in the recreation rooms provide plenty of natural light and create a strong connection with the outdoors. Directly surrounding the accommodation are playing fields, a recreational lake and the Elspeetsche Heide heathland.
The choice of materials also reflects the building’s natural character. The exterior window frames, windows and doors are made from Platowood Fraké. This modified timber combines a warm appearance with high dimensional stability and durability, making it a perfect fit for the character of the building and its surroundings.
