Thanks to the unique platowood process, Platowood Poplar has a long lifespan and can be used for high-quality applications. The wood product feels soft to the touch, is lightweight, and has a calm grain pattern.

Platowood Poplar exudes calm. It is characterized by its uniform grain, subtle line pattern, and refined color variations. The wood feels soft to the touch, is lightweight, and has a warm, golden-brown hue thanks to the process. Like our other wood types, Platowood Poplar offers many advantages. In addition to its dimensional stability, environmentally friendly and low-maintenance properties, the wood is easy to work with and lasts at least 50 years.

Platowood Poplar has durability class 1. With our 100% natural fire-retardant treatment, Euro fire class B can be achieved.

The prices of our wood depend on the cross-section, profile, and finish. Platowood works exclusively with a dealer network, who set their own prices. For current retail prices, you can contact your nearest dealer.

No, Platowood uses only water and heat to enhance the durability of the wood. First, it is steamed under high pressure and then baked in our gas-free factory in Arnhem.

Our process does not add anything to the wood; it alters its chemical and mechanical properties, giving it a very high durability class.
