Hilversumsche Golf Club
Hilversum

The Hilversumsche Golf Club is located in the wooded heathlands typical of the Gooi region. In this forested setting, the original villa was rebuilt and expanded to include additional facilities.

Platowood Fraké was used for both the façades and interior. The Natural Color Oil finish perfectly aligns with the project’s sustainable philosophy and natural look. Over time, the natural greying of the wood will further complement the architectural vision.

Please note: this project was completed with an outdated version of the Natural Color Oil finish. Curious about our new colours? Order a free sample!

Bastiaan Jongerius, co-architect of the new Hilversumsche Golf Club building, on the choice for Platowood:

“We were looking for a natural appearance, sustainable and beautifully weathering wood that would suit the wooded surroundings of the Hilversumsche Golf Club.”

Project partners

The design for the reconstruction of the original villa, first built in 1933 by architect J. Baanders, and the new expansion was developed by Bastiaan Jongerius in collaboration with Rappange & Partners Architecten and Oomen Ontwerpt. This partnership has resulted in a stunning design where individual buildings and spaces have their own character while forming a cohesive whole.
