Tall sliding frames made from Platowood Fraké at Landgoed Klingelbeek

Landgoed Klingelbeek boasts a stunning location along the Rhine, near the center of Arnhem. Developer Schipper Bosch commissioned a master plan from Dyvik Kahlen Architects and Buro Harro. Recently, two of the estate’s key buildings, the Bosgebouw and the Vijverhuis, were completed. Both are equipped with window and door frames made of Platowood Fraké.

Ruud Puts of Timmerbedrijf Har Puts, a preferred dealer of Platowood window frames, shared his experience: “We’ve been involved in the development of Platowood frame timber from the very beginning. For Landgoed Klingelbeek, we worked closely with Karbouw construction. One major component of the project was the production of sliding frames, many of which reached a height of 2.90 meters. This height can pose a challenge due to the risk of wood warping. The advantage of Platowood Fraké is its high dimensional stability. This project proves that point, the wood performed excellently, and all components function exactly as intended.”
