At the end of 2019, we intNaturally, this wood species falls under durability class 5. We are proud to announce that, after the platonising process, Platowood Poplar has officially achieved durability class 1 in accordance with the latest standard (EN 350:2016) — the highest possible classification. This week, we received the test results and accompanying certificate.
Our poplar wood is sourced from FSC-certified European forests. Platowood Poplar is characterised by its even grain, subtle line patterns, and refined colour variations. In addition, this wood species feels soft to the touch and gains a warm, golden-brown tone through the platonising process. Like Platowood’s other species (Fraké and Spruce), Platowood Poplar is dimensionally stable, easy to work with, and low-maintenance.
